CATHRYN MOORE NAMED LOCAL AUTHORITY YOUNG SOLICITOR OF THE YEAR
North Yorkshire County Council’s Cathryn Moore has been named the Local Authority Young Solicitor of the Year.
Cathryn received the award at the Annual Weekend School for local government lawyers in Exeter.
Presented by SLG and Trowers & Hamlins, she was commended by the judging panel for demonstrating considerable innovation in dealing with the implementation of a remote broadband access venture for the area, for the implementation of sensitive projects at a local level and for demonstrably raising the profile of local government lawyers.
The panel also commended Sue Barrett (Milton Keynes Borough Council), Andrew Pavlou (London Borough of Lambeth) and Laura Edwards (Essex County Council). The judging panel comprised Malcolm Iley, public sector and local government partner at Trowers & Hamlins; Dudley Lewis, director of training at LGG, and George Curran, chairman of SLG.
