LGG'S NEW YEAR PROGRAMME REFLECTS CHANGING FACE OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT REGULATION

Gordon Brown’s government pushes forward plans for further social, economic and regulatory change.

The legal profession has always been focused on continuing professional development and there is no doubt that in the current budgetary climate affordable, high-quality training is something most organisations and employers are keen to seek out.

LGG ran over 150 courses for over 5000 delegates in 2007 and the programme for the next 12 months will be as diverse and relevant as ever.

Town and country planning, anti-social behaviour, planning enforcement and possession proceedings all feature in our January/February diary, as do more wide-ranging operational issues such as management skills, and staff recruitment and selection.

And as governance law and the role of the monitoring officer assumes ever greater relevance to day-to-day operations, we are pleased to be hosting two one-day monitoring officer conferences (in London and Leeds) in association with ACSeS.

For further details of all these courses and the rest of the LGG programme visit the training programme section of the website.
