LOCAL AUTHORITY LEGAL UPDATE CONFERENCE SET TO BE BUSIEST YET

This year’s Local Authority Legal Update Conference may boast one of the busiest agendas of recent years.

Presented by LGG in association with the team at 11kbw, under the experienced chairmanship of Tim Kerr QC, the programme will certainly be full and cover a range of topics, news, informed advice and expert opinion.

Tim Pitt-Payne - one of the very few speakers who both understands information law and brings a lightness of touch to the subject - will be speaking about employment vetting; James Goudie QC will be addressing EU public procurement issues, and Elisabeth Laing QC will talk about recent developments in the law relating to support for asylum seeker and failed asylum seekers.

And Peter Oldham, a highly respected education specialist, will provide his take on the equality duties, giving an exposition of the legal background and providing practical guidance on the steps local authorities need to take in order to comply.

LGG’s 15th Local Authority Legal Update Conference will take place at the Royal College of Surgeons in London on April 29.
