ROY IRWIN TO GIVE HOUSING CONFERENCE KEYNOTE
LGG is delighted to announce that Roy Irwin, the Audit Commission’s chief inspector of housing, will give the keynote address at this year’s Housing Law Conference in London on October 10.
Roy leads the housing inspectorate in reviewing the policies, practices and performance of local housing authorities and housing associations throughout England, and is also a member of the local government task force.
Presented in association with Arden Chambers, the day will include sessions on demoted tenancies, homeless prevention, housing and local area agreements, and affordable housing and anti-social behaviour. And Habib Aziz of Leeds City Council – and the Local Authority Young Solicitor of the Year – will examine and address the issues raised by the Rented Homes Bill.
