WELCOME TO LGG'S AUTUMN CONFERENCE PROGRAMME
WELCOME TO LGG’S AUTUMN CONFERENCE PROGRAMME
From Freedom of Information, mediation and education to planning, highways and adoption, LGG has now completed plans for the autumn conference season which is our most comprehensive and in-depth to date.
Many of you will be familiar with what has traditionally been our flagship events covering housing, planning and education, but this year we’ve broadened the programme to encompass a wider range of issues affecting the local authority lawyer and others working in the areas of democratic services and governance.
As usual we are partnering with leading chambers and experts in their field to present an invaluable mix of expert opinion, insight and case law to create a range of opportunities for continuing professional development and training that are targeted, relevant and which offer value both in terms of content and cost.
We will be joined by key figures from 11kbw, Coram, Landmark and 2-3 Gray’s Inn Square along with leading practices such as Mills & Reeve, Trowers & Hamlins, Bevans, and Hunton & Williams to cover topics such as mediation, shared services and data protection. We are also delighted that among our keynote speakers this autumn is Richard McCarthy, Director General of the Housing and Planning Department at the Department of Communities and Local Government.
Among the other topics to be covered in the coming months are the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007, Local Authority Support for People from Abroad and Strategic Services Partnerships.
