Housing Law Conference

LGG is delighted to announce that the keynote speech at the Annual Housing Law Conference will be given by Roy Irwin, Chief Inspector of Housing, Audit Commission.  Having joined the Audit Commission in October 1999, Roy leads the Housing Inspectorate in reviewing the policies, practices and performance of local housing authorities and housing associations throughout England. He is also a member of the Local Government Task Force.

RENTED HOMES BILL
The Rented Homes Bill, if and when it becomes law, will make fundamental changes to housing law as we know it.   This session will:
• Update practitioners and those working in the field as to what changes are proposed  
• Evaluate if this is the beginning of the end for secure/assurred/assurred shorthold tenancies as we know them  
• Consider what will replace them
