Agreements Under Sec 106 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 - Advanced Course

This day will be of interest to:

Planning Solicitors, Planning Committee Members, Planning Officers and Enforcement Officers with at least a basic experience in section 106 agreements

  1. Where does the law go now? Community Infrastructure Levy. The changes to be introduced by regulations under the Planning Act 2008. Latest developments.
  2. The future. What does the government plan to do? What will the developer have to pay under CIL and what will happen to the remaining parts of section 106.?
  3. Section 106 situations at district, county and unitary councils. Advice to councillors. Prospects on appeal if agreement cannot be reached.
  4. The processing of section 106 cases. Delegates will be asked to deal with common section 106 situations such as might occur at district, county and unitary planning authorities.
  5. Delegates will be asked to draft appropriately when given particular situations and to comment. There will be case studies where those who wish will be able to discuss.
