This is a basic course offering a systematic approach to investigation which leaves nothing to chance. Each delegate should acquire the knowledge and skills to conduct a basic level of investigation including either PACE note book interview or interview by letter.
This course is intended for:
- Homelesss Officers looking to investigate/prosecute false statements in connection with homeless applications
- Housing Officers looking to investigate/prosecute false statements on housing application forms
- Housing Environmental/HMO Officers dealing with rogue landlords looking for investigate/prosecute breach of HMO licence
Legislations that will be covered are:
- S72 and 95 Housing Act 2004
- S171 + 214 Housing Act 1996
- S1 Protection from Eviction Act 1977
